Redwood forest foundation
Redwood Forest Foundation manages one of the largest working community forests in North America. Over the next three years we aim to transform this forest into a flagship model of biodiversity protection, climate resilience, scientific research, and community access. Our mission is to protect and restore redwood forests and streams through smart technology while building community around healthy, and resilient lands.

Tree planting & forest recovery

To rebuild a healthier forest, restoration teams have reforested more than 1,500 acres and decommissioned 46 miles of legacy roads. These efforts promote redwood regeneration, reduce sediment runoff, and create more resilient habitats for plants and wildlife.

Learn about Watershed Restoration

watershed restoration

Usal's watershed restoration efforts have improved 14 miles of salmon habitat by enhancing stream conditions, reducing erosion, and improving water quality. These projects help restore critical aquatic ecosystems and support the long-term health of native fish and wildlife populations.
